This years Plym Valley Railway's Mince Pie Specials kicked off and the PCTPG provided a free bus service to the site at Coypool from Plymouth Station and the City Centre. Thanks to Tom Pearce for the photographs.

137 has returned to Milehouse following the major overhaul at Central Bus Works. She is looking immaculate and it is obvious the staff at Central Bus Works in Staffordshire have put an enormous amount of effort into this 50-year old Atlantean. Our thanks go to them.

458 was used to take Commonwealth Games medalists on a tour of honour around Plymouth City Centre and on to a Civic Reception with the Lord Mayor at the Council House. Diver Tom Daley, sprinter Katherine Endacott, lawn bowls winner Natalie Melmore and swimmer Antony James were onboard 458 as it was driven by BBC Radio Devon's Gordon Sparks.

Children from Chernobyl were taken on an open-top bus ride around Plymouth. The 12 youngsters, who suffered as a result of the Russian nuclear contamination in 1986, were brought to the city by the local charity Sunflowers, in partnership with the Chernobyl Childrens Lifeline charity. They were given a ride aboard 458 with their host families.

PCT PG has added another bus to its growing fleet of preserved buses with a Plymouth connection.

The bus is former Plymouth Citybus Dennis Dart 105 (K105SFJ) and it becomes the most modern bus added to the PCTPG fleet.105 is a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart from the first batch delivered new to Plymouth in 1991 and is now nearly 20 years old. Similar bus 107 (K107 SFJ) is still currently in service with Plymouth Citybus, the last of the batch still active in Plymouth.

The batch consisted of 101-5/7 - 110 (K101-5/7-10 SFJ). There was no 106 due to the unavailability of 106 numbered registrations at the time.

105 is owned by Bobby Darch - one of the junior members of the group and we wish him the very best of luck with 105.

Preparations are under way for the Plymouth Bus Rally this Sunday, 25th July, on Plymouth Hoe.

The stairs and entrance step of 168 have been repaired as part of the works in place to allow this vehicle to return to the active fleet after a brief period out of service. It is hoped that 168 will be back in service in time for the Plymouth Bus Rally in Juy, hosted by the Western National Preservation Group.

Members Robbie and Bobby Darch lent a hand helping to give 458 a thorough clean inside and especially upstairs where the lack of a roof results in a very dusty upstairs.

A big thanks to you both who have assisted on several Sundays cleaning and sorting out some of our stored parts and sales items.

131 was used on our members only day out across the Moors to Princetown where any mums who attended were taken for a cream tea courtesy of the group.

‘Thanks to all our mums’. 57 members and immediate family attended. A brilliant attendance and a brilliant day out.

Following the accident damage sustained in November 2009, 131 was towed away to Central Bus Works in Stafforshire for repairs and repaint.

171 is prepared for MOT. Attention was given to the king pins and minor repair work to the rear bumper has been made. A repaint into original livery is intended for this vehicle in the future.

168 has had all the odd seat rears replaced with the correct leaf pattern formica backs. Group members, Tom Pearce, Rob and Bobby Darch assisted Mike Hudson with this time consuming task. Thanks guys!!!

131 passed the MOT and is now on schedule for her moorland members only trip on March 14th.
